Chow Mein Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 8 oz yakisoba noodles or chow mein noodles
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 2 cups shredded cabbage
  • 1 small onion, thinly sliced
  • 1 cup shredded carrots
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced

For the Sauce:

  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp oyster sauce
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper

Instructions:

  1. Cook noodles according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, oyster sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, and black pepper.
  3. Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
  4. Add onion, cabbage, and carrots. Stir-fry for 3–4 minutes until slightly tender.
  5. Add garlic and cook 30 seconds until fragrant.
  6. Toss in cooked noodles and pour sauce over everything.
  7. Stir-fry 2–3 more minutes until noodles are fully coated and heated through.
  8. Serve hot as a side dish or with your favorite protein.
