Chow Mein Recipe
Ingredients:
- 8 oz yakisoba noodles or chow mein noodles
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
- 2 cups shredded cabbage
- 1 small onion, thinly sliced
- 1 cup shredded carrots
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
For the Sauce:
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 2 tbsp oyster sauce
- 1 tbsp brown sugar
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
Instructions:
- Cook noodles according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, oyster sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, and black pepper.
- Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
- Add onion, cabbage, and carrots. Stir-fry for 3–4 minutes until slightly tender.
- Add garlic and cook 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Toss in cooked noodles and pour sauce over everything.
- Stir-fry 2–3 more minutes until noodles are fully coated and heated through.
- Serve hot as a side dish or with your favorite protein.
