Peanut Butter and Banana Dog Treats Recipe
Ingredients:
- 1 cup oat flour (or whole wheat flour)
- 1 ripe banana, mashed
- 1/2 cup natural peanut butter (make sure it doesn't contain xylitol, which is toxic to dogs)
- 1 egg
- 1/4 cup water (adjust as needed for consistency)
Instructions:
-
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
-
In a mixing bowl, combine the oat flour, mashed banana, peanut butter, and egg. Mix well until a dough forms. If the dough is too dry, gradually add water until it comes together.
-
Roll out the dough on a lightly floured surface to about 1/4 inch thickness. You can use a cookie cutter to cut out shapes or simply slice the dough into small squares with a knife.
-
Place the treats on the prepared baking sheet, leaving a little space between each one.
-
Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the treats are golden brown and firm to the touch.
-
Once baked, remove the treats from the oven and allow them to cool completely on a wire rack.
-
Once cooled, store the treats in an airtight container at room temperature for up to one week, or in the refrigerator for longer shelf life.
These peanut butter and banana dog treats are sure to be a hit with your furry friend! Just remember to give them in moderation as part of a balanced diet.
