Turmeric Coconut Ladoo

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups desiccated coconut
  • 1 cup condensed milk
  • 1 tablespoon ghee (clarified butter)
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon cardamom powder
  • 1/4 cup chopped nuts (almonds, cashews, pistachios)
  • 1/4 cup raisins (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Heat Ghee: In a large non-stick pan, heat the ghee over medium heat.

  2. Toast Nuts: Add the chopped nuts and toast until golden brown. Remove and set aside.

  3. Coconut and Turmeric: In the same pan, add the desiccated coconut and turmeric powder. Toast for a few minutes until fragrant.

  4. Combine Ingredients: Add the condensed milk, cardamom powder, toasted nuts, and raisins. Mix well until the mixture thickens and comes together, about 5-7 minutes.

  5. Form Ladoos: Allow the mixture to cool slightly. Grease your hands with a little ghee and shape the mixture into small balls (laddoos).

  6. Serve: Let the ladoos cool completely before serving. Store in an airtight container.
