Shadow Waltz

Shadow Waltz

The moontip taps on the rooftop high
As lanterns drift through the velvet sky
Shadows twist and twirl on cobblestone floors
While nightbirds whisper behind closed doors

A cat in a top hat joins our parade
With a sly little grin that will never fade
We’ll chase the echoes of silver-lit streams
And tumble through rooftops straight out of dreams

The wind carries secrets in ribbons of mist
Every corner hides a magical tryst
Stars shimmer softly, a sparkling brigade
As the night bends its rules, unafraid

So lace up your boots, take my hand tight
We’ll waltz with the shadows until morning light
Hearts untamed and spirits free
Come dance with me beneath the old elm tree
