Loss is what defines us,
As willful woman and man,
Loss is what educates us,
Upon which we can withstand,
Pain is what teaches us,
All that we know,
Scars are what define us,
Our battles, they show,
Fear is what tells us,
We've lost our way,
Terror reveals to us,
What to keep at bay,
Darkness consumes us,
If given the chance,
The feelings they give,
Defines our stance.
