Graveyard Guacamole Recipe
Graveyard Guacamole
Ingredients:
- 4 ripe avocados
- 1/2 cup diced tomatoes
- 1/4 cup finely diced red onion
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro
- 1 jalapeño, seeded and finely chopped
- 2 tbsp fresh lime juice
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- Tortilla chips, for serving
- Black olives, for decorating
- 2–3 flour tortillas, for graveyard decorations
Instructions:
- Cut the avocados in half, remove the pits, and scoop the flesh into a large bowl.
- Mash the avocados with a fork, leaving some small chunks for texture.
- Stir in tomatoes, red onion, cilantro, jalapeño, lime juice, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper.
- Spread the guacamole into a shallow serving dish and smooth the surface.
- Cut flour tortillas into small tombstone shapes. Toast them in a 375°F oven for 5–7 minutes, until crisp and lightly golden.
- Use a food-safe black decorating gel or finely chopped black olives to write spooky messages such as RIP, BOO, or EEK on the tortilla tombstones.
- Insert the tombstones into the guacamole to create a miniature graveyard.
- Add crushed tortilla chips around the tombstones to resemble dirt.
- Scatter chopped black olives around the graveyard for extra spooky detail.
- Serve immediately with tortilla chips.
