Hey all of you Out there in Cyberspace!!!
Cordelia here,
How are all of you today? Personally, I have had a mighty crappy week. You see, I am one of those extremely stupid people that can't say no when people ask for help on something. Well, let me just take you back to the beginning for a moment. In January, my stupid ass decided to go back to school. But you see, I did not choose a normal college. No, I chose to go to a university where you take classes all week long, seven days a week, however, you graduate with your Bachelor's degree in three years instead of four. All of my classes are online, however, there are assignments to complete every day, I have to have active discussions on the school forum with other classmates, and I still have to take regular tests.
Aside from that, I have two jobs. I am a cashier at a grocery/clothing store, and I do computer repairs. With all of that, I barely have to sleep, eat, and see my boyfriend.
But, apparently, I didn't have enough on my plate, because when my friend asked me to help her plan her wedding, I couldn't say no. Now, we have one of those, overly traditional Greek Families. She is marrying into one just like it. But, there's a catch, there is always a catch... Her fiancee is Italian, and they don't approve of her because they are the first generation and they want him to marry an Italian girl.
So, while I am running around town making place cards, tasting cakes, and even registering her for the ugliest crap in the store ( only when she makes me mad) I am also responsible for getting weird gifts for her in-laws to be to help make them approve of her. Finals for me are next week before the next 8-week session, and instead of studying for my advanced algebra with programming applications final (or writing my final essay for English), I'm busy debating with her about the ups and downs of a ceramic vase versus a crystal one.
I hope desperately when my time comes, I won't be a psychotic Bridezilla like she has become.
Well, that's it for now, join me next time for a fun story and ridiculous observations.
