One Small Hitch is a movie that follows Josh and Molly (two childhood friends) as they return home for Molly's Mother's wedding. Just before the flight, they discover that Josh's father is sick with terminal cancer. As he tells his son over the phone of his newfound condition, he confesses that it was always his dream to see Molly and Josh end up together. Naturally, as best friends Molly and Josh had been opposed to the idea of dating for years, not wanting to ruin their friendship. However, they devise a plan to appease his father's dying wish and pretend to be engaged.

After returning home and telling their family and friends of their engagement things begin to spiral out of control. Their families rush to try and create wedding plans for the young couple, leaving them overwhelmed. But before long, they begin to relax in their roles as fake fiances and grow to know each other on much deeper levels. Will they fall in love, or will their entire relationship remain only for the show?

All in all I was pleasantly surprised by this movie. When I first started to watch it I thought it wasn't going to be that great because the beginning was a bit slow. However, after the first fifteen minutes, the movie picked up to such a quick pace I was on the edge of my seat waiting for the next part. At the beginning of the movie I found both Josh and Molly a bit hard to relate to. They seemed like a standard idea for a couple in a romance movie as if checking off boxes on a list, but they didn't really seem to connect with each other.

As the movie progressed, we began to see a whole new side of the duo that completely made their relationship not only believable but also relatable. My only wish is that their connection with each other was a bit more visible in the beginning, it didn't seem like there was enough of a connection between the two. It almost seemed as if he hadn't thought of her at all, not even as his friend's sister.

If they had a bit more chemistry with one another or the characters were a bit stronger in the beginning and not just the end, this movie would have gotten a five of five heart containers. In the end, despite that one little thing, I highly recommend this movie and I hope you all get a chance to see it.
