Thumbprint Cookie Recipe
Ingredients:

1 cup unsalted butter, softened

⅔ cup granulated sugar

1 large egg yolk

1 tsp vanilla extract

2 cups all-purpose flour

¼ tsp salt

½ cup fruit jam (raspberry, strawberry, apricot, etc.)
Instructions:

Preheat oven to 350°F. Line baking sheets with parchment paper.

Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy.

Mix in egg yolk and vanilla.

Add flour and salt, stirring until a soft dough forms.

Roll dough into 1-inch balls and place on prepared baking sheets.

Press the center of each ball with your thumb to create a small well.

Fill each indentation with a small spoonful of jam.

Bake 12–14 minutes or until edges are lightly golden.

Cool completely before serving.
