Pork Tenderloin with Honey Garlic Glaze

Ingredients:

  • 1 to 1.5 lb pork tenderloin

  • Salt and black pepper to taste

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

  • 3 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1/4 cup honey

  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce

  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar (or rice vinegar)

  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard (optional)

  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional, for a hint of heat)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).

  2. Season pork tenderloin with salt and pepper on all sides.

  3. In an oven-safe skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Sear pork on all sides until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes per side.

  4. In a small bowl, whisk together garlic, honey, soy sauce, vinegar, mustard, and red pepper flakes.

  5. Pour the glaze over the pork in the skillet.

  6. Transfer skillet to the oven and bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the pork reaches an internal temperature of 145°F (63°C).

  7. Baste the pork once or twice with the glaze during baking.

  8. Remove from oven, let rest for 5-10 minutes before slicing.

  9. Spoon extra glaze from the pan over the sliced pork to serve.

Pairs beautifully with roasted vegetables, rice, or mashed potatoes.
