Holiday Butter Cookie Recipe
Ingredients:

1 cup unsalted butter, softened

¾ cup granulated sugar

1 large egg
-
2 tsp vanilla extract (or 1 tsp vanilla + 1 tsp almond extract)

2 ½ cups all-purpose flour

½ tsp salt

Optional: holiday sprinkles, colored sugar, chocolate for dipping
Instructions:

Preheat oven to 350°F. Line baking sheets with parchment paper.

Cream butter and sugar together until light and fluffy.

Mix in the egg and vanilla (or almond extract).

Add flour and salt, stirring until a soft dough forms.

Scoop or roll dough into 1-inch balls.

Roll in sprinkles or colored sugar if desired, then place on baking sheet.

Gently flatten each cookie with the bottom of a glass or your palm.

Bake 10–12 minutes or until edges are lightly golden.

Cool completely.

Optional: Dip half of each cookie in melted chocolate and add festive sprinkles.
