Pound Cake Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour

  • 2 cups granulated sugar

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened

  • 4 large eggs

  • 1/2 cup whole milk

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

  • 1 teaspoon baking powder

  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a loaf or bundt pan.

  2. Cream butter and sugar until fluffy. Beat in eggs one at a time, then add vanilla.

  3. Sift together flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add dry ingredients to the wet mixture, alternating with milk.

  4. Pour batter into the pan and smooth the top.

  5. Bake for 60–70 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean. Cool before slicing.
