Cranberry Orange Sandies Cookie Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened

  • ¾ cup powdered sugar

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

  • 2 tsp orange zest

  • 2 ½ cups all-purpose flour

  • ½ tsp salt

  • ¾ cup dried cranberries, chopped

  • Optional: extra powdered sugar for rolling

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Line baking sheets with parchment paper.

  2. In a bowl, cream butter and powdered sugar until light and fluffy.

  3. Mix in vanilla extract and orange zest.

  4. Gradually add flour and salt, mixing until just combined.

  5. Fold in chopped dried cranberries.

  6. Shape dough into 1-inch balls and place on prepared baking sheets.

  7. Flatten each ball slightly with the bottom of a glass or your hand.

  8. Bake 12–15 minutes, until edges are lightly golden.

  9. Let cool slightly, then roll in powdered sugar if desired.

  10. Cool completely on a wire rack before serving.
