Ingredients:

For the Cupcakes:

  • 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, softened
  • ½ cup maple syrup
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • ½ cup buttermilk
  • 4 strips crispy bacon, crumbled

For the Frosting:

  • ½ cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 3 cups powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons maple syrup
  • 1 tablespoon whiskey
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Cupcakes:

    • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a cupcake tin with liners.
    • Mix dry ingredients: flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
    • Cream butter and sugars until fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, then maple syrup.
    • Alternate adding dry ingredients and buttermilk to the mixture, ending with dry ingredients. Fold in crumbled bacon.
