Strawberry Banana Smoothie Recipe
Ingredients:
1 medium (125 grams) ripe banana, 1 cup chopped
1 heaped cup (150 grams) fresh or frozen strawberries
2 tablespoons nut butter like peanut or almond butter
1 tablespoon chia seeds (optional)
Pinch ground cinnamon
Pinch sea salt
1 cup water or milk (dairy or non-dairy)
1-2 tbsp honey, pure maple syrup or other sweetener as needed
Directions:
1. Put banana, strawberries, nut butter, chia seeds, cinnamon, salt, and water into a powerful blender.
2. Blend on high until it becomes creamy and smooth. Taste it, and if needed, add a bit of sweetener. If the smoothie is hard to blend or seems too thick, add a bit more liquid and blend until it's smooth.
3. Pour the smoothie into two glasses (or into one tall glass for a double serving). If you want, you can sprinkle some extra chia seeds and diced strawberries on top before serving.
